Chanel appoints Lucia Pieroni as Creative Makeup Director

Chanel has appointed British makeup artist Lucia Pieroni as its new Creative Makeup Director. Pieroni will work alongside the house’s Makeup Creation Studio and under Simona Cattaneo, President of Fragrance & Beauty.

Pieroni succeeds the Cometes Collective, a trio that had been collaborating with the French maison since October 2022. A painter by training, Pieroni has a long-standing professional relationship with Chanel’s fashion artistic director, Matthieu Blazy, having designed the beauty looks for his collections since October 2025.

Her professional background includes serving as the Creative Director of Makeup for Clé de Peau Beauté (part of the Shiseido Group) from 2006 to 2019. She has also contributed to the visual identities of major fashion houses such as Prada, Celine, and Givenchy, and has worked with various prominent photographers and designers.
