Chanel appoints Lucia Pieroni as Creative Makeup Director

Chanel has announced that Lucia Pieroni will become the new Creative Makeup Director, effective September 2026. Pieroni will work alongside the Makeup Creation Studio and report to Simona Cattaneo, President of Fragrance & Beauty.

Pieroni is already familiar with the fashion house, having collaborated with Artistic Director of Fashion Activities Matthieu Blazy since his first collection. Her appointment is seen as a formalization and expansion of her existing role in developing beauty looks that align with the brand’s new creative vision.

With a career spanning over three decades, Pieroni brings a background in fine arts and extensive industry experience, including a tenure as Creative Makeup Director for Clé de Peau Beauté between 2006 and 2019. Her approach emphasizes individuality and the use of color, light, and skin texture.
