Chanel appoints Lucia Pieroni as Makeup Creative Director
Chanel has announced the appointment of Lucia Pieroni as its new Creative Director of Makeup. Pieroni, who previously held a leadership role at Clé de Peau Beauté, gained attention for her 'Sea Urchin Lashes' design during the brand's Cruise 2026/2027 show in Biarritz.
Separately, former Chanel Creative Director Virginie Viard has released a book titled 'Un regard, une vie chez Chanel'. The memoir addresses her abrupt departure from the fashion house in June 2024 following an underperforming cruise collection in Marseille.
Viard describes the experience of being sidelined by the brand, noting that her name was removed from the credits of subsequent haute couture collections. The book also provides personal reflections on her three-decade professional relationship with the late Karl Lagerfeld.
