Chanel Fairy‑Tale Haute Couture Show 2026‑27 at Grand Palais

Matthieu Blazy presented his second Chanel haute‑couture collection for the Fall/Winter 2026‑27 season on 7 July 2026 in Paris’s Grand Palais. The show was built around a fairy‑tale concept taken from a small leather‑bound book of stories that once belonged to Gabrielle Chanel; references to “Jack and the Beanstalk”, “Goldilocks”, “The Ugly Duckling” and other classic tales appeared throughout the 63‑look lineup.

The venue was transformed into an enchanted garden with giant beanstalks, oversized flowers and climbing vines that wound around dresses, heels and accessories. Garments combined traditional Chanel tweed, sheer fabrics and feather ruffs with whimsical details such as bags shaped like sleeping bears, boots resembling golden eggs and jackets embroidered with tiny bean shoots. Notably, the customary wedding gown was moved to the middle of the show and the finale featured a stark black “revenge dress”.

Front‑row guests included Catherine Deneuve, Tilda Swinton, Pedro Pascal, Lupita Nyong’o, Teyana Taylor, Alexa Demie and other actors and celebrities, underscoring the event’s high‑profile status. Blazy said couture “is not just a fairy tale; it is for women, their realities and their everyday adventures.”
