Chanel presents Spring/Summer 2027 collection at Paris Fashion Week
Chanel creative director Matthieu Blazy presented his Spring/Summer 2027 ready-to-wear collection at the Grand Palais during Paris Fashion Week. The show, themed around the many identities of women, drew inspiration from the life of founder Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel, tracing her evolution from her Edwardian roots to her role as a fashion icon.
The collection featured a mix of historical references and modern silhouettes, including smocked tweed suits, pencil skirts, and delicate silk dresses. Blazy utilized avian motifs, with an illuminated flock of birds suspended above the runway, to symbolize freedom and metamorphosis. Notable accessories included the archival 2.55 handbag.
High-profile attendees in the front row included Nicole Kidman, Dua Lipa, Pedro Pascal, and Marion Cotillard. The presentation marked Blazy’s second major cycle with the Maison, continuing his efforts to reinterpret classic Chanel codes through a lens of movement and contemporary versatility.
