Chang, who dated actor A-Ben and was once engaged to him before their 2008 breakup, emphasized that women are not objects to be categorized by their past partners or their age. She stated that a woman’s value is not determined by who she has loved or her physical aging process, describing the notion of women being “leftovers” as an absurd remnant of 20th-century male chauvinism.

Addressing the comments about her age, the 50-year-old actress noted that she does not hide her wrinkles or her age, viewing them as accumulations of her life experiences. She concluded by asserting her self-worth and independence, stating, “We are not objects, we are independent and complete people,” and expressed that she is very happy with who she is today.
