Chang Hsiu-ching holds Tainan concert after typhoon delay

Golden Melody Award-winning singer Chang Hsiu-ching held her ‘Spicy Girl 2’ concert at the Tainan Convention and Exhibition Center on October 10. The performance, which lasted nearly three hours, followed a three-month delay caused by a typhoon. To prepare for the show, Chang underwent a year of strict dieting and exercise to reach a weight of 50 kilograms.

During the event, guest Liao Wan-jun shared a story of how Chang had supported her during an awkward television interview early in her career. Additionally, Chang’s husband, Wang Kuo-chan, surprised her at a post-concert celebration with a large bouquet made of 100,000 TWD in cash to reward her hard work.

Chang noted that the delay caused by the typhoon allowed her to accept a role portraying Mazu in a drama. Following the concert, she plans to embark on a tour in Southeast Asia.
