Changan and Inchcape Philippines to end distribution partnership

Changan and Inchcape Philippines have mutually agreed to end their distribution partnership. The companies will enter a transition period that is scheduled to run through the fourth quarter of 2026.

The decision follows Changan’s long-term strategic plans for the Philippine market. During the transition period, both companies have committed to honoring existing customer obligations, including warranty coverage, after-sales support, parts, and service.

Alex Hammett, Inchcape’s Managing Director for South Asia and Pacific, noted that the partnership, which began in 2023, focused on building the Changan brand through Inchcape’s local distribution network and dealer relationships. While Changan’s future local distribution partner has not been announced, the brand has affirmed its intention to remain in the Philippines.
