Changan UK selects Ohme as preferred home EV charging partner

Changan UK has selected Ohme as its preferred home electric vehicle (EV) charging partner. The collaboration aims to simplify the transition to electric driving by allowing customers to arrange both their vehicle and home charging solutions through Changan’s growing UK retail network.

Through this partnership, Ohme will provide chargers and a full installation service, while also offering training and support to Changan retailers. The two companies are exploring further technological opportunities, including vehicle-to-grid (V2G) capabilities.

Ohme’s chargers utilize live electricity-grid data to automatically adjust charging schedules. This feature allows drivers to optimize costs by using cheaper energy tariffs and periods of high renewable energy generation. The chargers also include a solar boost function to reduce reliance on the grid for users with home solar panels.
