Changhua Christian Hospital supports indigenous health at softball tournament

Changhua Christian Hospital participated in the "2026 Urban Indigenous Slow-Pitch Softball Invitational" held in Changhua City to support the health and well-being of indigenous people living in urban areas.

Coinciding with Father's Day, the hospital established a medical emergency station and provided warm-up guidance led by its health promotion team. The event, organized by the Changhua County Indigenous Care Association, aimed to foster connections and emotional bonds among indigenous community members who have moved from traditional villages to cities for work and education.

Hospital Chairman Bing Zheng-long and Medical Director Zhang Shang-wen emphasized the importance of proactive health management, noting that many indigenous fathers face significant pressure while supporting their families in unfamiliar environments. The hospital's involvement seeks to bridge the gap between medical services and indigenous culture, addressing not only physical ailments but also the psychological and spiritual needs of the community.
