Changhua County hosts 2026 Nanguan and Beiguan Autumn Feast

The 2026 Nanguan and Beiguan Autumn Feast was held at the Changhua County Art Museum, showcasing the achievements of the Changhua County Nanguan and Beiguan Opera Education Rooting Project. The event featured performances from 17 local schools and the Changhua County Youth Nanguan and Beiguan Experimental Orchestra.

Changhua County Magistrate Wang Hui-mei attended the opening ceremony to honor contributors to traditional culture education. She presented certificates of appreciation to Chen Wei-ren, Chairman of the Chien-Chao Cultural and Arts Foundation, for providing continuous financial support for eight years, as well as to participating school principals and traditional artists.

The county government has implemented a ‘one school, one pavilion’ strategy to foster cooperation between traditional music pavilions and schools. Currently, 19 schools have joined the program, supporting 41 Nanguan and Beiguan study classes across the county. The event also included interactive games designed to introduce the public to traditional musical instruments and culture.
