Changhua County hosts disaster prevention sports meet for students
The Changhua County Government organized the 'Disaster Prevention Star All-around Sports Meet' on September 12 at Changhua County Success Senior High School. The event aimed to enhance the disaster response capabilities of elementary school students through interactive, game-based learning.
Approximately 150 students participated in four specialized competition stages designed to build muscle memory for emergency actions: material rescue, earthquake sheltering, emergency evacuation, and post-disaster path balancing. Student volunteers from Feng Chia University and Success Senior High School assisted in guiding the participants. Students who successfully completed the challenges were awarded emergency evacuation bags.
The initiative is part of the Changhua County Fire Bureau's ongoing efforts to foster a resilient city through innovative disaster education practices.
