Changhua County launches 2026 Reading Festival with forest theme

The Changhua County Cultural Affairs Bureau has announced the 2026 Changhua Love Reading Festival, scheduled to take place from October 31 to December 13 at public libraries across the county. Centered on the theme of “Forest,” the event aims to represent knowledge as a growing woodland, offering diverse experiences for all age groups.

The festival features 105 sessions organized under ten major themes. Programs include sensory activities for infants and toddlers, such as picture book play and music classes; creative workshops for children involving art and handicrafts; and gardening-focused activities for teenagers. For senior citizens, the “LOHAS in the Forest” program will focus on health and vitality.

To encourage participation, the county is offering nearly 7,000 themed reading gift bags for parents with infants under six who register for library cards and borrow five books. Additionally, a lucky draw program will reward participants with prizes such as e-readers, tablets, and book vouchers. Online registration begins on October 22.
