Changhua County launches new playground and youth housing in Hemei

The Changhua County Government has launched two major infrastructure projects in Hemei Town aimed at improving local living standards and supporting the youth population.

Construction has begun on the Zhongquan Sports Park inclusive playground, a project with a total budget of approximately 40 million TWD. The facility will feature 14 types of play equipment inspired by the local umbrella-weaving culture. The development also includes a 400-meter track and field, a multi-functional gymnasium with nine badminton courts, and an underground parking lot with 80 spaces.

Simultaneously, the county has broken ground on its fourth youth housing project in Hemei. This 380 million TWD development will consist of an eight-story building providing 59 residential units for sale. To support local residents, 15% of the units will be reserved for a priority lottery for citizens of Hemei, Shengang, and Xianxi townships before being opened to the rest of the county. The housing project is expected to be completed by mid-2028.
