Changhua County Magistrate hosts summer event for children under legal guardianship
Changhua County Magistrate Wang Hui-mei hosted a summer activity for children under the county government's legal guardianship. More than 40 children participated in a tour and DIY woodworking workshop at the Lukang Wood Culture Center, followed by a luncheon.
Currently, the Changhua County Government serves as the legal guardian for 55 children, ranging in age from 1 to 17 years old, to ensure their best interests are protected. The county's Social Affairs Department aims to provide a stable environment through professional social work and support systems.
Magistrate Wang expressed gratitude to the Taiwan Family Care Association, the Child Welfare Committee, and foster families for their dedication to providing a warm home for these children. The event included interactive clown performances to create a joyful atmosphere for the participants.
