Changhua County Magistrate Wang Huei-mei supports nuclear power referendum

Changhua County Magistrate Wang Huei-mei attended a Kuomintang (KMT) rally in Yuanlin to advocate for a nuclear power referendum. During the event, which focused on the theme ‘AI needs electricity, nuclear power provides electricity,’ Wang emphasized that economic development requires a stable power supply.

Wang argued that while the central government promotes green energy, the lack of sun and wind can lead to power shortages. She noted that relying on coal to fill these gaps results in air pollution that affects public health. She urged citizens to support the referendum on November 28 to protect Taiwan’s energy security.

Wang appeared alongside KMT Changhua County mayoral candidate Wei Ping-cheng and KMT Secretary-General Li Qian-long. Although her appearance lasted approximately ten minutes, Wei expressed gratitude for her support, stating it provided confidence and strength to the campaign team.
