Changi Airport travelers can visit Jewel complex via immigration
Changi Airport in Singapore offers various amenities for travelers during layovers, most notably the Jewel Changi Airport complex. Jewel features an indoor forest and the Rain Vortex waterfall, serving as both a destination for transit passengers and a recreational space for locals.
To visit Jewel on foot, travelers must clear immigration and formally enter Singapore, as the complex is located outside the airport’s transit area. While the Skytrain monorail passes through the Jewel and can be viewed from within the secure terminal areas, walking access requires exiting the airport. Jewel is connected to Terminal 1’s arrivals hall, while Terminals 2 and 3 are accessible via a five- to ten-minute walk along link bridges. Travelers using Terminal 4 can utilize a free landside shuttle to reach Jewel and Terminal 1.
