Changzhou hosts 2026 Jiangsu-Germany Dialogue on green development

The 2026 Jiangsu-Germany Dialogue was held on September 17 at the Sino-German Innovation and Industrial Park in Changzhou. Under the theme ‘Promoting the energy transition for common green development,’ the event focused on sustainability and new avenues for industrial cooperation between China and Germany.

Changzhou maintains seven city partnerships with German municipalities, representing approximately one-third of all city partnerships between Jiangsu Province and Germany. The city hosts nearly 300 companies with German involvement, while Changzhou-based firms have invested in 66 projects in Germany. Cooperation has expanded across industry, research and development, and talent cultivation.

Recent surveys indicate that 61 percent of German companies plan to increase their investments in China over the next two years. These companies are increasingly localizing operations to integrate into the Chinese economic and innovation ecosystem, with the green transformation serving as a primary driver for bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
