Chania: 19-year-old woman killed in motorcycle accident

A 19-year-old woman was killed in a motorcycle accident in the Halepa area of Chania during the early hours of Saturday. The incident occurred around 02:30 on Konstantinou Mitsotaki Street, near the statue of pilot Kostas Iliakis.

According to reports, the young woman lost control of her motorcycle under circumstances that are still being investigated. The vehicle reportedly struck a traffic light pole before hitting a sidewalk curb, causing the driver to be thrown onto the roadway. Despite the rapid response from Chania Traffic Police and EKAV paramedics, the victim succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
