Chania: Car loses control and collides with taxi on National Road

A serious traffic accident occurred in the early hours of the morning on the Old National Road between Chania and Kissamos, specifically in the Parigoria area. A driver traveling toward Kissamos lost control of their vehicle while navigating a curve, causing the car to veer off its path, cross onto the sidewalk, and enter the oncoming lane.

The vehicle then collided head-on with a taxi van traveling in the opposite direction. The moment of the impact was captured by a dashcam located inside the taxi.

While one report indicates the taxi driver sustained minor injuries, another report suggests that the collision resulted only in material damage to both vehicles with no serious physical injuries reported. The incident caused significant disruption at the scene and led to a confrontation between the involved drivers.
