Chania Chamber of Commerce to participate in 90th Thessaloniki International Fair

The Chania Chamber of Commerce has announced its participation in the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair to promote the developmental potential and high-quality products of the Chania region.

Regarding the national economy, Greece reported a real GDP growth of 2.1% in 2025. The country has achieved a primary surplus of 4.9% of GDP, exceeding initial targets, while public debt has decreased to 146.1% of GDP. Greece is currently on track to repay its first loan program by 2031, ten years ahead of schedule, which is expected to save 2.6 billion euros in interest.

However, economic challenges remain due to geopolitical conflicts and rising energy costs. Brent crude oil has surpassed 90 dollars per barrel, contributing to rising fuel prices in Greece, which impacts transportation and production costs.
