Chania Chamber warns of readiness issues for Digital Delivery Note

Antonis Rokakis, President of the Chania Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Vice President of the Union of Hellenic Chambers, has issued a formal letter regarding the upcoming implementation of the Digital Delivery Note.

While acknowledging that digital transition is a necessary strategic direction for the national economy, Rokakis expressed serious concerns regarding the readiness of the market, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises. Key issues identified include the complexity of new procedures, the need for system integration, implementation costs, and the necessity for staff training.

Specific challenges were noted for businesses in island regions, where digital conditions for transporting goods may not always be ideal. The concerns were highlighted following a dialogue session held at the Chania Chamber in collaboration with the Federation of Professionals, Craftsmen, and Merchants of Chania.
