Chania: 24-year-old arrested for domestic violence after 17-year-old reports being locked in home

Police in Chania, Greece, arrested a 24-year-old man following a report of domestic violence. The incident occurred near Dimitrakaki Street in the city center around 8:00 PM.

A 17-year-old girl of Bulgarian origin reported that the man, with whom she had a past relationship, called her to his home and subsequently locked her inside the residence. The victim's calls for help were heard by neighbors, who alerted the Hellenic Police.

Emergency medical services (EKAV) were dispatched to the scene, and the teenager was taken to a police station to provide her statement. While no physical injuries were reported, the suspect has been taken into custody, and a case for domestic violence is being processed by the authorities.
