Chania: Minors ambush and beat 13-year-old boy

A 13-year-old boy was ambushed and beaten by a group of minors on Korai Street in Chania, Greece, on the evening of Thursday, September 3, 2026. The attack occurred outside a school and involved at least five individuals, aged between 14 and 15 years.

According to reports, members of the group filmed the assault on video. The victim's family stated that the boy had received prior threats from this specific group, suggesting the attack was premeditated. Following a formal complaint, police arrested two minors and their parents, and have identified a third individual involved.

The victim was transported to Heraklion for a forensic medical examination. Authorities are also investigating a second reported assault involving the same group of minors.
