Chania Municipal Library to host 5th free book bazaar

The Chania Municipal Library is organizing its fifth book bazaar, titled ‘Books change hands and we are happy!’, to promote reading and the reuse of books. The event is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 15:30 to 20:30, at the library's Reading Room located at Ypsilanton 30.

Hundreds of books from various donated collections will be available to the public free of charge. The library utilizes donated materials by distributing extra copies to school libraries, libraries within the Chania Prefecture, and alternative libraries operating at the Chania General Hospital and the City Hall courtyard. The initiative aims to encourage a culture of circularity and sharing within the community.
