Chania Municipality announces land auction in Varypetros

The Municipality of Chania has announced a public auction for the purchase of real estate in the Varypetros area. The objective is to utilize the land for public and communal purposes.

The municipality is seeking a property, preferably approximately 6,000 square meters in size, located within or in immediate functional proximity to the Varypetros settlement in the Theriso municipal unit. The intended use for the site includes the creation of green spaces, sports facilities, and recreational areas to enhance social cohesion and improve the local microclimate while preventing unregulated construction.

Interested parties must submit their expressions of interest by November 5, 2026, at 15:00. Submissions should be directed to the Economic Service of the Municipality of Chania.
