Greece: Juveniles arrested for Psychiko arson and Chania theft gang
Authorities in Greece have arrested several juveniles in connection with two separate criminal incidents involving arson and theft.
In Psychiko, three minors were arrested after allegedly causing a fire in an outdoor area near Alvos Veikou and Galatsi by throwing firecrackers. The dry vegetation ignited as a result of their actions. The juveniles reportedly admitted to their involvement and expressed remorse. Their parents were also taken into custody on charges of neglect of supervision.
In Chania, police dismantled a juvenile gang responsible for 14 cases of theft and attempted theft. The group, which operated between July and early September, targeted motorcycles, electric scooters, and car batteries in areas including Chania Hospital, Mournies, and Souda. Three minors were arrested, and one other has been identified. Additionally, three adult guardians were arrested for neglect of supervision.
