Channel 4 commissions George Clarke's Amazing Spaces: First Homes

Channel 4 has commissioned a four‑part series titled *Amazing Spaces: First Homes*, fronted by architect and property expert George Clarke and produced by Plum Pictures. The programme follows Clarke and collaborator Will Hardie as they meet individuals, couples and families across the UK who are turning unconventional spaces – such as buses, boats, former toilet blocks and tiny homes – into affordable first homes.

The series is intended to highlight creative solutions to the UK’s housing crisis and was commissioned by senior commissioning editor Clemency Green and director of commissioning Jo Street. Clarke said, "We're living through a time when having a home of your own feels increasingly out of reach for many people," underscoring the show’s focus on hope, creativity and the need for systemic change.
