Channel 4 releases trailer for David Baddiel thriller Hunting Alice Bell

Channel 4 has released a first look and trailer for Hunting Alice Bell, a six-part psychological thriller produced by Clapperboard Studios. Created by David Baddiel and Peter Bradshaw, the series explores themes of misogyny, social satire, and the devastating impact of online mob justice.

The plot follows Fran Da Silva, played by Alex Roach, whose life is upended when she is accused online of being Alice Bell—a former nurse and accomplice to a notorious serial killer. As Fran and several other women falsely identified as Bell band together to clear their names, they must navigate the suspicion that one of their own might actually be the real Alice Bell.

The ensemble cast includes Amanda Abbington, Emily Barber, Toni O’Rourke, Christina Bennington, Rudi Dharmalingam, Ralf Little, and Simon Pegg, who portrays the serial killer Dr. Jason Nash. The series was inspired by real-life instances in the UK where women were terrorized by local populations due to rumors regarding their identities.
