Channel 4 revamps Great British Bake Off spin-off for 2026

Channel 4 has announced a revamp of the companion programming for The Great British Bake Off for 2026. The existing spin-off, ‘An Extra Slice’, which was hosted by Jo Brand and Tom Allen, will be discontinued.

It will be replaced by a new show titled ‘Second Helpings’. The new series will be hosted by Jon Richardson and Judi Love, both of whom have previously appeared on the celebrity version of the program. Each episode will feature a celebrity guest and provide exclusive content from the main show’s hosts, Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding, as well as judges Paul Hollywood and Nigella Lawson.

In a scheduling change, ‘Second Helpings’ will air on Tuesday nights immediately following the main Bake Off episode, rather than on Fridays. Nigella Lawson is also being added as a judge to the main series.
