Channel 5 confirms second series of thriller ‘The Game’

Channel 5 has confirmed the launch date and released first-look images for the second series of the crime thriller ‘The Game’. The drama stars Jason Watkins and Robson Green, reprising their roles from the first series.

Set one year after the initial events, the story follows former detective Huw, played by Watkins, as he attempts to rebuild a quiet life with his wife, Alice (Sunetra Sarker), in an isolated seaside house. Despite his efforts to escape the psychological trauma of a serial killer, Huw finds that his peace is an illusion. The series explores a high-stakes psychological struggle between Huw and Patrick (Green), a man he believes is connected to his past trauma.

The production features returning cast members including Sunetra Sarker, Indy Lewis, and Amber James, alongside new additions such as Tanya Franks and Dominic Rowan. The series is directed by Toby Frow and written by Tom Grieves.
