Channel 5 drama dramatises Tracie Andrews road-rage murder case
Channel 5 has released a feature-length true crime drama titled ‘Under Suspicion’, dramatising the 1996 murder of Lee Harvey. The film, starring Emma Rigby as Tracie Andrews, explores the high-profile case that occurred in Worcestershire.
In December 1996, Tracie Andrews claimed she and her fiancé, 25-year-old Lee Harvey, were victims of a terrifying road-rage attack. She presented herself to police as a traumatised witness to the crime. However, investigations revealed that Andrews had murdered Harvey by stabbing him 42 times with a pen knife.
Following a highly-publicised trial in 1997, Andrews was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison. She was released on parole in 2011 after serving 14 years. The drama has drawn viewer attention for its portrayal of the psychological thriller and the deception used by Andrews to cover her crime.
