Channel 5 launches 11 new channels on Freely streaming service

Channel 5 has added 11 themed channels to Freely, the free live‑and‑on‑demand streaming platform operated by Everyone TV in the United Kingdom. The new lineup includes 5Movies, 5Medical, 5Yorkshire Vet, 5History, Milkshake! and genre‑specific channels such as 5Cops, 5Police Interceptors, 5Crime, 5A&E, 5Trucking Hell and 5Bargain‑Loving Brits, taking Freely’s total live offerings to more than 70 channels.

Channel 5’s Vice‑President of Distribution and Business Development, Kiaran Saunders, said the launch “will help us expand our reach beyond the 5 streaming platform and directly into the homes of our audiences.” Everyone TV CEO Jonathan Thompson added that the addition “gives families even more choice to watch over the summer holidays.” The new channels are available at no charge on Freely‑enabled TV sets from manufacturers such as Hisense, Bush, Toshiba, Panasonic, Sharp, TCL, Amazon Fire TV and others.

The expansion marks the largest addition of services to Freely since its partnership with Warner Bros. in 2023, reinforcing the platform’s aim to consolidate free‑to‑air content from the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and other partners in a single broadband‑based service.
