Channel A program features story of single mother seeking child support

An upcoming episode of the Channel A program ‘Detective’s Business Secrets’ will feature the story of a single mother who gave birth alone at age 17. The client, who was unaware of her pregnancy due to irregular menstruation and a lack of typical symptoms, gave birth in her room and had to cut the umbilical cord herself.

The child was born prematurely at seven months, weighing only 1.95kg and requiring intensive medical treatment for malnutrition and anemia. Despite the circumstances, the biological father reportedly reacted by asking, “Are you joking?” and failed to visit the hospital or provide support.

Ten years later, the child is now in the third grade of elementary school. The mother is currently preparing a lawsuit for child recognition and child support, but she faces difficulties as she only knows the biological father’s name and lacks further identifying information.
