Chantal Ladesou discusses the loss of her son

French actress Chantal Ladesou has opened up about the profound grief following the death of her eldest son, Alix, who died in a road accident at the age of 21.

In an interview with the program ‘Sept à Huit’ on TF1, Ladesou described the two years following the tragedy in 1996 as a period where she ‘completely collapsed.’ She noted that the loss remains a constant presence in her family life, even three decades later.

Ladesou credited her husband, Michel Ansault, as her pillar of support during that time, noting that the tragedy ultimately strengthened their bond. She also mentioned that her work in theater served as a vital outlet to help her cope with the depression and emotional turmoil caused by the loss.
