Chantel Yiu prepares for first solo concert in August

Singer Chantel Yiu is preparing for her first solo concert, titled ‘Chantel 想飛 Live Concert 2026’, which is scheduled to take place at the MacPherson Stadium at the end of August. To prioritize the performance, Yiu revealed she has postponed her original plans to travel to the United States for studies.

Yiu shared during the TVB program ‘J Music’ that she is personally involved in the concert's creative process, including developing ideas for a five-year career retrospective. Her rehearsals include dance segments and a new piano performance element. While she expressed nervousness regarding memorizing lyrics for cover songs, she noted that she is focusing on physical training and musical adjustments.

Regarding guest performers, Yiu mentioned that a male singer with a name starting with the letter ‘J’ has been invited. She also expressed her admiration for singer-songwriter Terence Lam, noting his creative ability as a goal for her own career, and jokingly wondered if he might join the concert.
