Chapada Diamantina emerges as a major Brazilian ecotourism destination

Chapada Diamantina, located in the backlands of Bahia, Brazil, is a major destination for ecotourism and adventure travel. The region features diverse landscapes including waterfalls, caves, mountains, canyons, and approximately 300 kilometers of hiking trails.

The Chapada Diamantina National Park protects over 152,000 hectares of the Serra do Sincorá within the Espinhaço mountain range. The area is characterized by significant ecological diversity, encompassing parts of the Atlantic Forest, Cerrado, and Caatinga biomes. Key attractions include Cachoeira da Fumaça, Vale do Pati, and Morro do Pai Inácio.
