Chapada Diamantina hosts 13th Jazz Festival do Capão

The 13th Jazz Festival do Capão is taking place at Circo Capão in the Palmeiras district, located within the Chapada Diamantina National Park in Bahia, Brazil. The free event features a variety of musical performances, environmental actions, and music workshops.

The festival lineup includes diverse Brazilian musical styles, featuring artists such as drummer Victor Brasil, the percussion duo Tiago Nunes and Alana Gabriela (Orí Mejí), and the all-female Quarteto Emmbra. Other scheduled performances include the Arí Vinícius Quinteto and the closing set by singer and researcher Ilessi.

In addition to mainstream performances, the event hosts the Mostra Capão, which focuses on local artistic production, and the Mostra UFBA, showcasing projects from the Federal University of Bahia's School of Music.
