Chapada Diamantina selected as filming location for TV Globo's ‘Lá na Minha Terra’
Production for the upcoming TV Globo telenovela ‘Lá na Minha Terra’ has begun filming in the Chapada Diamantina region of Bahia, Brazil. The production team, led by artistic director Allan Fiterman, spent five days filming in various natural landscapes to establish the setting for the fictional town of Lavra Seca.
Key filming locations included Mirante do Camelo, Gerais do Dandá, Cachoeira dos Mosquitos, Morro do Pai Inácio, and the Lapa Doce and Torrinha cave complexes. The production utilized these sites for their mountains, waterfalls, and greenery to provide the scale required for the story.
The cast involved in the shoot includes Dira Paes, Mateus Solano, Lucy Alves, Danilo Mesquita, Miguel Rômulo, Thardelly Lima, and Arianne Botelho. The plot, written by Mario Teixeira, follows the character Rosenda, played by Dira Paes, as she lives in Lavra Seca while awaiting her husband, who has been missing for over 15 years. The series is scheduled to premiere on November 9.
