Chapecoense adopts SAF model while Chapecó swimmers claim eight medals at state games

On 30 July 2026 the Deliberative Council of Chapecoense approved a resolution to create a Sociedade Anônima do Futebol (SAF) for the club, also endorsing its accounts and passing a motion of support for President Alex Passos and the current board. The meeting was held at the Lounge of Sicoob inside Arena Condá in Chapecó.

From 23 to 25 July 2026 the municipal swimming team of Chapecó competed in the Jogos Escolares de Santa Catarina (JESC) in Blumenau, winning eight medals – four gold and four bronze. Vittorio Pastore Botelho, a student of Colégio Marista, captured four gold medals and earned a place on the Santa Catarina state squad for the upcoming Jogos Escolares Brasileiros (JEBS) in September in Brasília. Luca Silva added three bronze medals and Isabela Dutra secured another bronze, while other athletes also reached finals.
