Chapela relegated from Liga ACT despite record points
The rowing club Chapela has confirmed its relegation from the Liga ACT following the final regatta in Ares. Despite the descent, the team set a historical record as the team with the most points (53) to ever be relegated from the competition.
Coach Juan Zunzunegui noted that the high point total reflects how competitive the team was throughout the season, despite acknowledging tactical errors and the need to improve technical aspects such as turns and power. The club, known as Arealonga, plans to use the upcoming winter period to restructure and prepare for a return to the Galician League in 2027.
