Charata to host Pre Laborde Chaco 2027 for the first time

The town of Charata has been selected to host the Pre Laborde Chaco 2027 for the first time. Organized by the Instituto de Cultura del Chaco (ICCH) and the Municipality of Charata, the competition will take place on September 5 and 6 to select artists who will represent the province at the upcoming Festival Nacional del Malambo.

The event will include dancers, musicians, reciters, and other traditional performers. Registration for the competition is available online until August 25. Local authorities noted that moving the event to the southwest region of the province aims to facilitate participation from local artists and promote a more federal approach to cultural distribution.
