Chareidi Community Debates Knesset Visits by Yeshiva Students Amid Draft Crisis

A new radio panel on Kol Chai Radio's program "Bein HaSedorim" sparked debate within the Chareidi community about whether yeshiva bochurim should attend sessions in the Knesset during Israel's ongoing military draft crisis. Panelists Yanki Haas, Pinchas Ben Ziv, Pinchas Binder and Nati Shulman, hosted by Yossi Chaim Maimon, agreed that visits are not inherently prohibited but argued that, given the current political climate, such appearances could project a negative image and damage the public standing of the Torah world. Shulman warned, "There’s nothing wrong with it—go ahead… but don’t go to the Knesset when every headline is attacking yeshiva students," while others emphasized the need for students to consider timing, setting and perception.
