Charente-Maritime announces environmental and water management job openings

Various professional opportunities have been announced in the Charente-Maritime region of France, focusing on environmental management and public water services.

CEN Nouvelle-Aquitaine is seeking a mission officer to manage sites for the CEN and the Conservatoire du Littoral in the Charente and Seudre areas. The role involves site surveillance, administrative follow-up, managing land-use agreements for agricultural and oyster farming sectors, and developing local partnerships. The position is a fixed-term contract starting in November 2026.

Additionally, Eau 17, a public establishment managing water and sanitation services, is recruiting a monitoring and control engineer. Based in Saintes, the engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with sanitation regulations, monitoring wastewater treatment processes, and managing sludge disposal. This role is part of the ‘L’Eau du futur’ strategy aimed at ensuring resource availability through 2050.
