Chari joins Africa Tech 50 index

Moroccan fintech startup Chari has been included in the Africa Tech 50 (AT50), a benchmark index tracking the 50 most advanced private African technology companies positioned for potential initial public offerings (IPOs).

Launched on the London Stock Exchange, the AT50 index evaluates companies based on six key pillars: valuation dynamics, revenue strength, liquidity visibility, governance maturity, strategic expansion, and market signals. Chari joins other major African tech players such as Nigeria’s Flutterwave and Moniepoint, Senegal’s Wave, and Egypt’s MNT-Halan.

In April 2026, Chari significantly influenced the index's weekly progression following the launch of its digital account for SMEs in Morocco. Chari CEO Ismael Belkhayat recently participated in investor exchanges and the opening bell ceremony at the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) as the index continues its tour of major African financial hubs.
