Charitable Fundraisers in Mexico and Argentina Rally Community Support for Health and Social Causes

In Mexico, the Carrasco family continues fundraising to afford a costly biopsy for 79‑year‑old Ernesto Carrasco, who was diagnosed with a nasal tumor two years ago and has since lost his sight. The family has organized raffles, a hamburger sale and a recent menudo (tripe) sale, seeking to raise roughly 27,000 Mexican pesos to fund the biopsy that will determine the appropriate chemotherapy.

In Pilar, Argentina, a family lottery is scheduled for August 1 at the Pueyrredón Country Club. Tickets cost 8,000 pesos for six cards, with proceeds earmarked for the Comisión Solidaria del Pueyrredón Country Club, which supports local solidarity projects, community kitchens, and assistance programs for families throughout the district.
