Charitable initiatives launch in Spain to support cancer patients

Various charitable initiatives in Spain are raising funds to support cancer patients. In El Puerto, the Sede Humanitaria Portuense del Cáncer is conducting its sixth annual fundraising week. The non-profit organization, which provides physical, psychological, and social treatments to approximately 90 patients, is selling items such as t-shirts, bags, and jewelry at multiple locations including local markets and commercial establishments.

In Madrid, Viena Capellanes has partnered with the Grupo Español de Pacientes con Cáncer (GEPAC) for the ninth consecutive year to mark World Breast Cancer Day. The company is producing approximately 5,000 pink pastries, designed to resemble the pink ribbon symbol. Proceeds from these sales will support GEPAC projects for patients and their families. This initiative comes amid projections that around 38,000 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed in Spain in 2026.
