Charitable initiatives provide scholarships and aid to disadvantaged students in Vietnam
Various charitable initiatives in Vietnam are providing financial and educational support to disadvantaged students and families. In Ha Tinh province, multiple programs are underway, including the establishment of the Tu My commune Study Encouragement Fund to support students in difficult circumstances. Other local efforts include the ‘Compassionate Arms’ program, which has provided over 223 million VND to families in Dong Kinh, Dong Loc, and Vu Quang, and initiatives to build or repair housing for policy families and those living in poverty.
In Ho Chi Minh City, a major program has distributed over 3.2 billion VND in educational subsidies and scholarships to 600 students affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Funded by the Ho Chi Minh City Lottery One Member Limited Liability Company, each student received a savings book worth 5 million VND, along with additional gifts. The total resources mobilized for the program exceeded 3.7 billion VND. Alongside financial aid, the event included practical training in first aid and safety skills for the participating students.
