Charitable organizations distribute school supplies to vulnerable children in West Africa

Various charitable initiatives in West Africa have provided educational support to vulnerable children ahead of the new school year.

In Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, the association Action pour un Monde Meilleur (AMM) distributed 70 kits to adolescents with disabilities or children of vulnerable disabled persons. The donation included school supplies and adaptation equipment such as crutches and wheelchairs. The initiative, led by founder Zita Désirée Belem, specifically aims to support the education and empowerment of young girls with disabilities. The Burkinabe Ministry of Education praised the move as part of national efforts to promote equality and equity in schools.

In Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, the Réseau national des associations (RENA) and the Fraternité TBO movement distributed 420 school kits to primary and secondary school orphans in the Abobo PK18 area. Conducted on behalf of Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Téné Birahima Ouattara, the operation sought to alleviate the financial burden on vulnerable families and ensure students could begin the academic year under better conditions.
