Charity and cultural balls held in Gmunden and Bautzen

In Gmunden, Austria, the “Magische Ballnacht im Salzkammergut” held at the Stadttheater Gmunden raised 24,835.76 euros for Herzkinder Österreich. Organized by several Rotary Clubs, including Gmunden and Gmunden-Traunsee, the event hosted approximately 400 guests for a night of dancing, magic, and a tombola to support children with heart disease.

In Bautzen, Germany, the Deutsch-Sorbische Volkstheater has announced its 2026 Bühnenball, scheduled for November 13 and 14. Under the theme “Wien, oh Wien!”, the event will feature a gala program including the Sorbian National Ensemble. The artistic concept humorously imagines the Bautzen ball stepping in to host Viennese traditions following a fictional water pipe burst at the Vienna Opera Ball.
